Beer lovers in Morocco, get excited!

As Germany and many other places throughout the world celebrate Oktoberfest this month, Casablanca will be launching its own beer festival for the first time.

Brasseries du Maroc, a subsidiary of France's BGI Group, will be hosting events at various bars throughout Casablanca during October. The company has been brewing and bottling beer in Morocco since 1919.

The festival is seen as an effort to boost sales and promote the product. Organizers have promised "fantastic deals" and "gifts" throughout the festival, according to Morocco World News.

In recent years the companies flagship product has seen a marked decrease in sales. Last year's sales dropped 3.6 percent compared to 2013.

Oktoberfest, which influences similar events throughout the world, takes place annually in Munich from the middle of September through early October.
