Winter is coming . Like, it's definitely coming and with the rains have come floods of garbage.

That's right. Added to the normal annoyance and inconvenience of Beirut's flooded winter streets, this year it looks like we'll be dealing with hordes of garbage flowing through the city as well.

Thousands of residents have been protesting since summer in hopes of avoiding this situation. Now they're really upset and freaking out.

Because everyone knew this was coming.

It is quite disgusting, rivers of trash flowing through the city and all.

Who would even want to leave the house anymore?

People are concerned that this could seriously damage Lebanon's water supply.

So much for the "Paris of the Middle East"

It's just the "Floating landfill of the Middle East" now.

Everyone is going to have to adopt a new winter uniform it seems.

Because these massive piles of garbage . . .

They aren't leaving the city any time soon . . .

Instead they are just going on tour.

At least until the government manages to make a decision.
