While we may have stupid reality TV shows in the Middle East (think The Sisters and Ramez Wakel El Gaw ), Australia has taken it to a whole new level.

Three soon-to-be Australian reality TV stars decided to hop on a plane to Iraq. Fine, that seems alarming enough, right? Iraq is not the greatest touristic destination right now, what with ISIS gaining ground and holding part of the country. Probably not the best place for reality TV stars. But once you're there, why not cross the border to the Syrian frontline of the battle between Kurdish fighters and ISIS terrorists to be in the line of fire? What, what? No, really?

But the production company that produces the award-winning reality TV show "Go Back To Where You Came From" probably didn't really anticipate that being in a war zone is that risky – media sensationalism, am I right?! – ESPECIALLY for foreigners, who have never been kidnapped for ransom. Nope, never.

Except, well – the media didn't lie this time (shocking, we know!) even if these Australians thought that a battlefield was great location for filming their reality show. One participant tells news.com.au, "we got a lot more than we bargained for.”

Watch them scramble to get away from ISIS fighters here:

Can you picture our reaction? You can't? It went a little bit like this:

And then, like this:

But really, we were actually like this:
