The Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was shot dead yesterday during a speech at the opening of an art exhibition in Ankara.
The shooter, who has been identified by Turkish officials as a 22-year-old police officer, shouted "Don't forget Aleppo, don't forget Syria!" in Turkish as he pulled the trigger.
He fired at least eight shots, according to The Guardian, injuring at least three other people during the horrific attack.
The 22-year-old shooter was killed by other officers in a shootout.
