Lebanese satirist, social commentator and Twitter star Karl Sharro (aka Karl reMarks) has some important advice for U.S. President Donald Trump.
This weekend, Trump is heading to the Middle East on his first international trip since taking office. The president's first stop will be Saudi Arabia, where he'll meet with King Salman as well as leaders of more than 20 Muslim-majority countries.
With Trump's record of erratic diplomacy and anti-Muslim rhetoric, it's going to be an interesting trip to say the least. And that's where Sharro comes in, he's created a cultural guide to help Trump prepare for and maneuver the complexities of the summit.
Sharro took to Twitter to volunteer his services to the U.S. President
The right gift is important
And the right words too
Avoid topics that might stir debate
Remember, stealing is a faux pas
Trump should stick to easy topics
Sharro even provided a handy reading list
Some go-to phrase's from Sharro's guide include: "It’s all about the oil", "the Shia Crescent", "Obama is an idiot" and "Sultan Erdogan." If used properly, these are guaranteed to make anyone – even Trump – look like a Middle East expert.
And some last words about the potential creation of an "Arab NATO"
A lot is on the table for Trump's meeting in Saudi Arabia. Sources have told media that an "Arab NATO" will be established, but details remain unclear. Other reports have suggested the Gulf countries will offer to normalize relations with Israel in return for specific promises from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
Following his meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia, Trump will travel to Israel to meet with Israeli leaders.
