If you thought flights are void of entertainment, a Welsh choir on an Etihad flight is proof that that's not always the case.
On Saturday, members of Wales' Cardiff choir C.Ô.R turned on their musical spirit on a flight en-route to London from Abu Dhabi ... and gave other passengers some live-action entertainment.
The choir - composed of Welsh, Scottish, Irish, and English members - went all out with their epic performance of the Welsh national anthem Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (Land of my Fathers).
They received a "huge roar of applause after they finished."
In a video posted to Facebook, the choir's conductor, Osian Rowlands, can be seen moving his hands to lead the members. The footage has since amassed 50,000 views.
How it all unfolded:
Rowlands had contacted Etihad Airways prior to the flight, asking if it was possible to watch the Wales game on the plane- in reference to the Grand Slam rugby tournament.
"But the in-flight entertainment was only showing the Premier League match between Bournemouth and Newcastle," he said. Wales challenged - and beat - Ireland in the match.
So, he decided to ask the airlines "if we could maybe sing the anthem before we left, and they were so supportive in making it happen," Rowlands told The National.
The group was in the UAE capital for a performance at the Emirates Palace Auditorium as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival.
The performance was just epic!
UAE airlines seem to be a "choir favorite"
In 2017, a group of 75 members of the Baylor University Men's Choir gave an >impromptu musical performance after an Emirates flight en route from Kenya to the U.S. had landed.
The group danced away to the song Da Coconut Nut by Filipino musician and composer Ryan Cayabyab as passengers disembarked from the plane.
The performance was a "thank you" to the airline's cosmopolitan crew. A video of the performance was posted to Emirates' Facebook page, amassing over 15 million views at the time.
