Unless you've been living under a rock, then you probably know that Rihanna is rumored to be >dating Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel.
The internet went full-on crazy at the news of a romantic involvement between the Barbadian superstar and an Arab.
But, it turns out Jameel is not her first Arab boo ...
She was actually previously involved with Algerian footballer Karim Benzema
According to The Sun, Rihanna was dating the French footballer of Algerian roots back in 2015, and the two were regularly spotted together at parties.
As for other sources like The Washington Post, they report that "The duo were first linked together in June 2014, around the time of the soccer World Cup in Brazil, where Karim, 27, represented France."
"Rihanna loved Karim, and with him she had a lot of fun," Spanish publication Don Balon Rosa quotes a source close to Benzema as saying.
So, why did they break it off?
American rapper Chris Brown, with whom Rihanna was previously involved, was the reason why she did not make it official with the Real Madrid star, according to Spanish publication.
“She told him [Benzema] she did not want to break his heart, and she confessed that she’ll always love Chris Brown," Don Balon Rosa's source said.
"Rihanna said it was difficult to compete."
But, Benzema is a fling of the past and it looks like Rihanna is totally over her previous romances.
She is currently rumored to be involved with Saudi Hassan Jameel, whose family owns the rights to sell Toyota in the kingdom.
Rumors of the 29-year-old singer and Jameel's relationship began back in June when the couple was spotted getting close and comfy in a swimming pool.
"This relationship is the real deal. Rihanna has told friends she’s in love with him and seems completely smitten," a source reportedly told The Sun.
"They’ve been spending a lot of time together away from prying eyes and are really serious. They’re really enjoying each others’ company," the source said.
Hassan Jameel was previously linked to supermodel Naomi Campbell after the two were seen together at the 2016 British Summer Time Festival in London.
