Early Thursday, Kuwaiti journalist, Nasser Al Shatly, mercilessly pranked his followers on Twitter.
He tweeted to his 5,000 followers that he would be sharing good news in an hour, and then proceeded to leave them in some serious anticipation for cheerful updates.
His excited tweeps were left hanging, awaiting the thrilling tweet...
The level of suspense was so high they had to come up with a hashtag for this specifically vague occasion, #>WhereAreTheGoodNewsNasser.
Which lead to a funny thread that will make you LOL.
It all started with this tweet
"Await in an hour some good news to cheer up all Kuwaitis."
In the mean time, his Kuwaiti followers lost their cool and couldn't wait any longer.
"Speak up, Nasser"
Some were really skeptical
But others took it seriously and became glued to their phones
"My friends haven't let their phones down."
Let's just wait patiently
Or look under the chairs, maybe he's hiding there
"Where are you, Nasser?"
"That's Nasser watching the hashtag going viral"
"That's us waiting for Nasser"
Kuwaiti people are just hilarious
"If this hashtag proves anything it is how light-spirited Kuwaitis are. We know how to laugh and joke no matter what."
"They say that even Sisi is waiting for the good news"
"The one hour is over, yalla, where is Nasser"
Nasser can't be found
"I fell asleep twice and ordered three meals, and still you're nowhere to be found"
He got the ladies angry as well
Nasser is in trouble
And then suddenly... Nasser showed up with the promised good news
"Have a great weekend, everyone!"
Gotcha!
"Nasser and his friends reading the thread be like."
"Get the heck out"
"Pull him by the ear"
"Everybody has April's fool except for us, we have Feb's fool"
"Keda ya Nasser?"
Apparently, the hilarious thread inspired Nasser for some new work
"Await for my coming article 'Where are the good news, Nasser?'"
