He is only six years old and probably knows more about flying airplanes than you ever will.
Last week, a viral video captured Adam Mohammed Amer stunning Etihad Airways crew with his immense knowledge of the inner workings of aircrafts.
Seeing the passion he has for planes, Etihad Airways decided to make Amer's dream come true by allowing him to co-pilot one at its training academy.
It all started when Amer totally schooled Etihad pilots
Amer, who is of Egyptian-Moroccan descent, hopes to become a pilot and he is definitely well on his way there.
In the video that has warmed the hearts of thousands of social media users, Amer can be seen hanging out with Etihad Airways pilots in a flight deck en route to Morocco.
For over two minutes, he gave a detailed account of the aircraft's functions.
From its operating systems and routine procedures, to how to launch an aircraft and what pilots have to do during an emergency, he knows it all.
"Some planes have a Ram air turbine. It gets emergency systems back on if the engines fail," the first-grade student explained oh-so-adorably to the amazed pilots.
"But due to the no-engine power, the landing gear doors will not come up. After that you have to do something else to lower the flaps. You have to drop the gear by gravity alone."
How does he know all that? He watches documentaries, reads aviation magazines, and researches information online.
According to his father, who spoke to >Khaleej Times, Amer has had a passion for flying ever since he was a one-year-old, even though none of his family members work in aviation.
"[Amer] would hold a paper or a kitchen mop and pretend it's a plane flying. When he enters a toy shop, the first thing that gets his attention are airplanes," his father said.
"He has always had a thirst for knowledge and he questions everything. We knew if we wanted to develop his character, then we should give him the space to ask and learn."
Soon after, Etihad called him back to the cockpit ... But this time to the pilot's seat
On Thursday, the airline announced that it had invited Amer to its training academy to give him a taste of what flying an aircraft really feels like.
In a video shared on Etihad Airways' official Facebook page, Amer is seen donning a pilot's uniform and taking the control wheel on an A380 plane simulator, which he co-piloted.
"Ready for take-off," he can be heard saying. "Here we go, baby!"
