With the invasion of social media in our everyday lives, people wake up to social media, sleep to social media, do everything on social media. Some people have even developed some kind of addiction to it and envy those who do it for a living, claiming it is the best job in the world. There are times where it is awesome, but it's not as easy as people make it out to be – especially when you're getting paid to do it. Here's why:

Explaining the job to your parents is a job in itself

Or explaining to anyone really

That your job is harder than they think

Because it's a 24/7 world ... forget the whole 9-5 schedule

Because NO you don't just post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

You need to be creative ... like all the time

And put together a proper strategy

To hit and exceed those metrics

& sometimes you spend the entire day writing a post to get nothing in return

Even worse, when your post reaches 0.000000001% of the audience

Seeing a spelling mistake after a post has been published gives you a panic attack

But when a post does well ... you ultimately go crazy

As you do when an influencer in the industry decides to share your content ...

And in that moment, a herd of people enter your site

Where you have one and only one thing in mind

& watching a brand have a PR crisis online is just...

Until the moment your brand gets trolled...because you know you have to keep your calm

The word "millennials" is far from impressive

As are the constant Facebook changes you have to adjust to

But that feeling when your boss walks in and sees you on Facebook ... takes all the frustration away

And that's when you know... your job is freaking awesome!
