Egypt's Armed Forces have already finished renovations on the Cairo church attacked by terrorists in December, just in time for Egyptian Christmas this weekend.
Egypt's Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas on Jan. 7 and hold a Christmas Eve mass on Jan. 6. The military worked quickly, according to a Facebook statement posted by a spokesperson, to ensure the repairs were complete so the service could be held as usual.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on the church, St. Mark's Cathedral, which has left 27 dead. Initially, 23 were reported dead, but several more victims have died of their injuries in the days following the attack, which occurred on Dec. 10.
The majority of the dead were women and children attending a weekly service.
