3D printers are all the rage, but Japan's Suntory Whiskey took the trend one step further by carving ice cubes with intricate designs in a promotional campaign.
Chilling the cubes at negative 7 degrees so that they didn't melt during production, the Japanese ad agency used a CNC router to carve the chilled designs.
In addition to the cool factor, Miwako Fujiwara of TBWA\Hakuhodo, told Ad Week that the mini-sculptures looked better in whiskey, because, "a touch of chilled whiskey polishes the surface of the ice and gives a beautiful shine to the sculpture."
We say yes. Because everything looks better in whiskey.
