There’s all kinds of cutting-edge ideas raising money through crowd funding – solar roads, shrimp clouds  and light bulb projectors  to name a few – but one project on Kickstarter is showing that the simplest ideas can rise to the top, too.

Meet the Pon:

The replacement for the push pin has already raised more than $26,000 on Kickstarter, more than double the project’s original $10,000 goal. That's a lot of Pons.

The idea couldn’t be simpler: it is combination of a paper-clip and a push pin. Not only does it let you to hang posters and photos without damaging them, but its patent-pending design also allows you to hang objects that a push pin could never handle.

Like this shark.

StepFeed is eagerly awaiting delivery on the 40 Pons we ordered for our cork wall. We still need to find a shark toy to test them out ourselves.
