One man got a reward  after a video of a car in flames went viral.

The incident took place in Al-Zulfi, about 260 km from Riyadh.

Although not clear in the 10-second clip, Rashid Al-Nafii averted what could have been a catastrophe.

Employees of the station were unable to subdue the blaze. Nafii jumped in and towed the car away from the pumps with a rope, according to Arab News .

In the video, Nafii can be seen attaching the rope to the front of the burning car and running out of frame, presumably to drive the vehicle towing the car.

Civil defense arrived and put out the fire. The car, at this point, was far from the explosive stores of fuel at the station.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif honored the quick-thinking man with a financial reward for his bravery.

Hats off to Nafii for a swift response that probably saved the lives of many.
