School exams will be rescheduled in Saudi Arabia, thanks to a royal decree that was issued on Saturday evening by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
As per the decree, the school term will now end earlier than expected and exams will be taken in two to three weeks time.
This has come as a major relief to students who worried that the holy month of Ramadan, which begins at the end of May -one of the hottest months of the year in Saudi Arabia- would coincide with the exams.
The exam rescheduling decree came in an announcement that included several other royal >decrees. But for students, their exams were all that mattered and their reaction on social media is a clear indication of that.
Many thanked King Salman
"God bless you."
Everyone literally jumped for joy
Others were too excited
Celebration mode on
Some students be like
While teachers...
"Teachers scouring to wrap up the curriculum."
A few also realized that finals are now just around the corner
And slight panic attacks ensued
There was envy
As Saudis celebrated the news, students from across the GCC, including Qatar and the Emirates tweeted hilarious memes, demanding that their countries issue similar decrees.
Everyone wants exams to be rescheduled
"Emirati national to Saudis: Tell them we want our finals in two weeks too."
"Under the slogan Our United Gulf and with the help of Saudi tweeps, Qataris demand that their exams be rescheduled before Ramadan."
