The new Qatari sports car Elibriea has been unveiled ... and it's everything.
Qatar's first sports car was unveiled during the Qatar Motor Show, which took place from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1.
With a gold-painted exterior and a General Motors V6 engine generating 535 horsepower, the vehicle fully combines power and luxury.
Only weighing about 1,000 kilograms, about 350 kilograms less than the average vehicle, power goes directly to all four wheels.
Elibriea's website explains that the car's light weight "could be achieved by utilizing [the] best of the available carbon fiber composite technologies and implementing them to develop not just the body panels or monocoque, but also the core components of drivetrain, resulting in sports car with more agility and net thrust per unit mass."
Abdulwahab Ziaullah, a graduate of Texas A&M Qatar, designed the super car as part of his undergraduate research. His concept was brought to life through a partnership with Ali Bin Ali Group.
Equvallas will be the follow-up vehicle to be launched by Ziaullah's company..
The now famous Lykan Hypersport was also introduced at the Qatar Motor Show in 2013.
Hailed as the Arab world's first super car and the third most expensive car in the world, Lykan made an iconic appearance in "Furious 7", crashing through skyscrapers in Abu Dhabi. The vehicle was designed by Dubai-based W Motors, a company headed by Lebanese CEO Ralph Debbas. As a follow-up, W Motors revealed the Fenyr Supersport in November of last year .
