Greeting cards often bring a smile to our faces, even when they are generic.
Three Palestinian sisters our trying to increase those smiles by making culturally relevant greeting cards in Arabic.
Having launched the " Loz project " with designs and greetings inspired by their native Palestinian culture, Maysa Alshaer from Ramallah and her two sisters have managed to sell more than 10,000 cards throughout Palestine and Jordan this year.
However, as their unique designs have become popular, demand has increased. Orders have been coming from Australia, the United States and Europe, and the sisters recognized a need to expand their operations.
They have turned to Zoomaal in an effort to raise $12,000 to expand their enterprise and also to create workshops for creative Palestinian women like themselves. Through the workshops, they hope to incorporate the artwork created by the women into their designs and expand further into mugs and handbags.
At the time of writing, the campaign has raised more than $5,000, which is nearly 50 percent of the final goal. If you'd like to learn more about this unique and creative project, visit the crowdfunding page on Zoomaal.
