The French comedy, "Les Nouvelles Aventures d’Aladin" or "The New Adventures of Aladdin", which was partially filmed in Morocco, is set to be released in French cinemas on October 14.

An adaption of the famous Arabian folktale of Aladdin and the magical lamp, the opening scenes of the film were were shot in Ouarzazate.
Directed by Arthur Benzaquen, the film features French comedian Kev Adams as Aladdin and also includes William Lebghil, Jean-Paul Rouve, Eric Judor, Michel Blanc, Vanessa Guide, Audrey Lamy and Nader Boussandel.
Moroccan actors Kamal Abbas, Khalid Bekkouri and Abdellah Chakiri are among the local talent who made it into the film.

When talking about the role of Aladdin, Adams said, "I will be a modern Aladdin who lives both in Baghdad and in the magical air of time," according to Morocco World News.
Ouarzazate is considered to be one of the best locations in Morocco, as it is home to the largest film studios in the country. The Hollywood film "Mission Impossible 5" starring American actor Tom Cruise was also recently filmed in various locations throughout the country.
