Athletes from throughout the Middle East and North Africa are coming home with lots of medals following the 2015 Special Olympics World Games  held in Los Angeles.

The event happens every two years and this year it featured some 6,500 athletes from 165 countries. After opening on July 25, the games concluded on Aug. 2.

MENA participants raked in prizes in many different events. Numerous athletes from throughout North Africa, the Levant and the Gulf manage to pull-off first prize wins. View the full listing of gold medals awarded to regional athletes below.
