Saudi authorities arrested a group of men who unleashed trained dogs at a public park in Medina, Akhbaar 24 reported.
Thursday's arrests came just hours after a viral video capturing the incident went viral on Saudi Twitter.
In the footage, the men can be seen attacking a man who was sitting on one of the park's benches, beating him up, and scaring him off with one of their dogs.
Even though it remains unclear what triggered the attack, it sparked outrage among social media users.
According to several tweeps who were eyewitnesses of the incident, people didn't approach the victim or try to help him because they were afraid of the dogs who were being ordered to attack the man.
In their statement on the matter, Saudi police said they managed to identify and detain the three men who appeared in the video.
