On Wednesday, three sons of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Dubai's Ruler, officially signed their marriage certificates to their future wives.
Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, one of Sheikh Mohammed's daughters, shared the news on her Instagram account, captioning a photo of the three brothers "May God protect you and grant you happiness."
Sheikh Hamdan (Dubai's Crown Prince) got married to Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, Sheikh Maktoum (Deputy Ruler of Dubai) to Sheikha Mariam bint Butti Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Ahmad (Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation) to Sheikha Midya bint Damlouj Al Maktoum.
According to the National, the three brothers were married in a religious ceremony on Wednesday, while the government media office confirmed the marriages on Thursday.
"The wedding ceremony is expected to follow. It is not yet clear if it will be a public or private celebration," the National reported.
Sheikh Maktoum got engaged to Sheikha Mariam bint Butti last year, Khaleej Times reported at the time. As for Sheikh Hamdan, the news of his engagement to Sheikha Sheikha bin Saeed came in 2008.
People all over the Emirates are rejoicing, celebrating the news with "Be Happy, Dubai" captions and lots of "congrats."
