A recently launched hashtag asking the Lebanese to share their habits on Twitter is generating some of the Internet's most hilarious responses.
Via #من_عوايد_اللبنانيه (The habits of Lebanese), tweeps are putting out some of our funniest, most confusing quirks for the world to see.
We've selected some of the finest:
1. Saying the most confusing things
"Don't turn around, but look at that person sitting right behind us."
2. Coming up with the best lazy shortcuts
"Using the 'salleh' (basket) to get groceries."
3. Who does this too?
"Turning the volume down whenever we get lost while driving."
4. Waking people up and then asking if they're still asleep
"They're already with you on the phone yet they ask if you're still sleeping."
5. Saying this when an electronic device breaks down
"It'll work again if you turn it on and off."
6. Telling everyone you're coming back every time you leave the house
7. "Calling someone on their landline and asking them where they are"
8. Doing things that don't make much sense
"The Lebanese buy a kilo of pistachios and a kilo of seeds separately. They then mix them together really well, only to end up sifting through the mixture to pick out the pistachios."
