Flooding in Jeddah Source: Facebook/RiyadhConnect

Major flooding is wreaking havoc once again in Jeddah.

Photos posted online show chest-high waters and submerged cars throughout the major Saudi Arabian Red Sea coastal city.

Heavy thunderstorms and winds have led to the rapid increase in water, according to Gulf News.  Saudis have been warned to avoid going down to affected areas, as flood waters could be flowing rapidly.

Schools in Jeddah's education district have also been closed due to the flooding.

According to the The National Centre for Security Operations at the Ministry of Interior, more than 10,000 emergency calls have come in. However, most of these were inquiries about what roads are safe to take.

Civil Defense Forces have also responded to more than 240 rescue requests. But no deaths have been reported.

Many have taken to social media to share photos, videos and commentaries
