You think being a real estate broker is boring? Think again. In Pocket Listing, the real estate biz is all about wheeling and dealing. Oh and hot stuff and awful plumbing.
The basic plot is as follows: " Double crosses, adultery, murder, mistaken identity, and revenge ensue when a mysterious power player and his sultry wife hire a disgraced Los Angeles property broker to discreetly market and sell their Malibu villa ." Yes. All that. And more.
But the real interesting plot is this. The film was written by James Jurdi who also starred in it. You might be asking: who is James Jurdi? He's an actor, screenwriter and producer, and as his family name suggests, he's originally Lebanese. After studying cinema, play-writing and performance arts in the USA, Jurdi acted in shorts, soaps and indie films and wrote and produced shorts. He then plunged into his first feature film, Reaper (a supernatural sci-fi horror film), which he starred in, wrote and produced.
Pocket Listing, a satirical thriller, soon followed. Featuring Rob Lowe, Burt Reyolds, Noel Gugliemi, Jessica Clark, and Jurdi, Pocket Listing combines quirky narration with action and plenty of plot twists. Both films showed at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. And now Pocket Listing is making the rounds in the Middle East.
