Hatred of ISIS trumps homophobia at UN Security Council

For the first time ever, the United Nations Security Council held a session Monday addressing LGBT rights.

What did this closed meeting address? Ending homophobia?

Nope. Gay marriage?

Ha. Try ISIS. Wait, what?

Yep. The U.N. Security Council heard testimony about the threat that ISIS poses to sexual minorities.

Yes, ISIS poses a threat to LGBT individuals – along with everyone else who lives under its control.

Also, do they realize that there are still U.N. member states that carry out the death penalty for homosexual acts?

Or was presenting it as an anti-ISIS meeting the only way that the organizers could get a foot in the door at the Security Council for the LGBT community?
