An MEA flight from Beirut to London made an emergency landing in Istanbul after a fight broke out between two passengers.
According to reports, a passenger identified as Z. A. Sh., got into a heated dispute with an air hostess and proceeded to assault her, leading another passenger to come to her defense. It didn't take long before the two erupted into a fist fight.
That's when the airplane's captain decided it was time to land, diverting the flight to Istanbul airport where the initiator was taken into police custody.
According to LBCI, the passenger was being interrogated as the plane awaited the decision to continue to its original destination.
