It seems as though the closer X Factor gets to the finale, the more interesting and emotional it gets. The competitors have become friends and now, instead of rejoicing when someone leaves the show, they mourn the loss of that individual.
Hamza Hawsawi, a 24-year-old soul and R&B singer from Saudi Arabia, had the audience in tears as he expressed his appreciation for eliminated Syrian singer Majdi Sharif. Hawasai encouraged Sharif to pursue his dream despite being cut from the show.
Majdi spent the last four years studying in Sweden, after leaving his hometown, and family, behind in Syria. Many were sad to say goodbye to the Syrian singer.
Hawsawi, who had promised to sing an Arabic song as he had only performed in English so far, chose to sing Pharrell Williams' "Happy." Despite not fulfilling his promise, the Saudi Arabian gave an incredible performance as always.
The boy band The 5 also gave an amazing performance of Mohamed Hamaki’s hit "Wahda Wahda," which uplifted the crowd and left the judges in awe.
Lebanese Ragheb Alama was impressed with how the group's unique voices – who only began singing together a few months ago – could preform so harmoniously together. Elissa expressed how proud she was to see these musician newbies turn into professional stars.
Egyptian Donia Samir Ghanem was convinced that these boys were born stars.
“Some people have talent, but not star quality,” she said. “You guys? You have it all. You were born stars.”
It seems as though the more the show speeds up, the more The 5 are becoming stars.
