Emiratis no longer need a visa to these 8 countries as of 2019

The United Arab Emirates' passport was ranked the most powerful in the world by Arton Capital's Passport Index, which ranks passport power based on the amount of visa-free entries they allow. As of 2019, the UAE passport permits visa-free and visa-on-arrival entries to 117 and 59 countries, respectively. This leaves only 22 countries requiring visa approvals prior to travel.

However, according to the Henley Passport Index, which bases its rankings on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the UAE passport ranks 20 globally, after rising 41 ranks since 2009. This index includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations - including micro-states and territories - while the former index includes the countries as a whole rather than as multiple destinations.

Over the past decade, the UAE has seen growth and stability to be rivaled. From building the tallest tower in the world and witnessing technological advancements, to creating connections to most parts of the world, the UAE does not seem to lack progressive strategy. The initial aim was to make it to the "top 5" list of passports by 2021, and depending on Arton Capital's Passport Index, the plan has been completed two years ahead of time, much earlier than expected.
