While many of us commoners might assume national beauty queens and kings quit their day jobs and focus on being overwhelmingly beautiful, that is not always the case.
For one Emirates cabin crew member, being crowned as Miss Scotland 2018 did not mean bidding the Dubai-based airline goodbye.
Instead, 24-year-old Linzi McLelland continued working for Emirates and was recently featured in two of the airline's promotional videos.
McLelland has been working for Emirates for the past two years and regularly posts about her work on her Instagram page. In March, she announced she was selected to join the Emirates Promotions Team.
She >won the Miss Scotland 2018 title in June and is now set to compete in Miss World 2018 in December. As Miss Scotland, McLelland has been raising awareness on mental health, with a focus on suicide awareness.
Despite her victory, it seems like McLelland is still part of the Emirates crew, according to videos by the airline introducing her as a cabin crew member.
Last week, Emirates shared a video promoting the launch of its flights to Edinburgh, Scotland, with one flight from Dubai per day starting Oct. 1.
"Did you know that Miss Scotland 2018 is also Emirates cabin crew?" the video's caption read.
The light-hearted video features McLelland teaching her colleagues some Scottish slang words like scran (food) and bonnie (beautiful.)
On Tuesday, Emirates released another video that captures McLelland introducing viewers to Edinburgh, the Scottish capital, which she says is "famous for its stunning skyline and impressive architecture."
"We can't wait for you to visit us soon," she says towards the end of the video.
