A video that purports to show a belly dancer screened on an LED screen hung between the minaret and dome of a mosque in Egypt has sparked outrage on social media.
This came after footage taken outside of the mosque was shared on Facebook late on Sunday.
The video was reportedly shot by a man after he spotted the screen outside the unidentified mosque.
Outrage on social media
In the few hours after it was shared, the video has garnered 65,000 views at the time of writing.
As it continues to make the rounds online, thousands are taking to social media platforms, expressing their shock and outrage.
People are angry
"Where is the mosque's Imam? Where are its neighbors? I just can't believe this!"
"This is too much"
Some think the video might have been fabricated
"This video must be fabricated, there's no way the people who pray in the mosque would have allowed this to happen."
Others are trying to find explanations
"This is a white background and someone must be projecting these videos towards it using a mobile phone. It can't be an LED screen playing this video."
Some just can't even
"How has it come to this?"
"Instead of just filming it, why didn't you take it down?"
Others are speechless
"God have mercy on us!"
