In case you're feeling extra cynical about love this Valentine's Day, this story is a reminder that you might find your partner when you least expect to.
Pharmacist Nourhan Al-Hashish took to Twitter late last week to announce her engagement to fellow pharmacist Mohammed Riad Mohammed after meeting him on the online multiplayer battle royale game, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG).
Al-Hashish's tweet took the social media platform by storm, amassing plenty of comments that range from the humorous to the self-deprecating.
Speaking to Egyptian media outlets, Mohammed said Al-Hashish joined a match he was participating in with his friends, after which the duo began talking. They >reportedly met up at the pharmacy she works at and directly hit it off.
"There's no problem in meeting someone through social media or a video game. If she seems like a good match, take initiative and make your move," he told Cairo24.
StepFeed has reached out to Al-Hashish for comment.

PUBG is a major hit in the Arab world
The video game has plenty of fans all over the world, and the >Arab region is no exception.
However, experts have warned of the dangers of PUBG, among other addicting video games. Subsequently, the World Health Organization (WHO) added gaming disorder to the addictive disorders section in June 2018.
In November 2018, Egyptian lawmakers announced they were considering a ban on the video game for inciting violence, but the ban has not been enforced.
