Ali Hassanein, beloved Egyptian actor and widely celebrated celebrity in the Arab world, passed away Wednesday. The sudden death of Hassanein, following the death of Nour El Sherif and Mirna El Mohandes this week, shocked and saddened many of his fans.

Hassanein, who is best known for his roles in "Kit-Kat," "Katout" and "Badal Faqed," died at the age of 76, according to Ashraf Zaki, the head of the Actors Syndicate in Egypt.
The cause of death remains unknown.
