Windows 10 will officially launch in 13 cities, including Dubai, around the world on July 29.
The launch events held around the globe "will offer hands-on opportunities, experiential demos, entertainment and opportunities to meet the Windows team," according to Microsoft's blog.
Of course, all the fuss must be worth it since – surprise, surprise – Microsoft is touting Windows 10 as "the best Windows ever."
"From the beginning, Windows 10 has been unique – built with feedback from our fans, delivered as a service and offered as a free upgrade. Our approach to launch is also unique – focused on a more aspirational goal, inspired by Windows 10," a post on the company's blog said.
The new operating system will also "empower people to do great things," apparently.
Although the special events will only be taking place in 13 cities, the software will be released on the same day in 190 countries. It will be made available as a free upgrade to current users and will be included automatically on all newly purchased PCs and tablets.
This release marks the first time that Microsoft has allowed Windows users to upgrade their operating systems free of charge. Something that Apple has been doing for quite a while, just saying.
In addition to Dubai, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing, New Delhi, Nairobi, Berlin, Johannesburg, Madrid, London, São Paulo, and New York City will all host special events.
So, will you be attending the "special launch" event in Dubai or will you simply be at home downloading the upgrade?
Oh, you're an Apple person? So am I.
Best of luck Windows 10.
