Emirates airline has made sure its passengers won't miss any Olympic action this summer by doubling its sports live-streaming .

The aviation company has added a second sports channel to the eight channels of live television available on its Ice TV Live-on board, which has been implemented on more than ninety of its Boeing 777 aircrafts.

Along with the existing Sports 24 channel, the airline introduced the Sports 24 Extra to increase the live sporting coverage accessible on their award-winning digital wide screens. The dedicated sports channels will cover this summer's top sporting events including the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Euro 2016, NBA tournaments, Formula 1, Moto GP, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open Championships.

Traveling sports enthusiasts will thus have the opportunity to choose between the coverage of two sporting events. They can also keep up with sports updates and highlights online through the WiFi-access offered on over 120 Emirates airplanes. Additionally, on-demand sports content and sports documentaries are available.

Emirates is the world’s reigning airline when it comes to onboard entertainment. It has a record-breaking streak in the SKYTRAX World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment Award, which the company won based on passengers’ voting for the eleventh consecutive time in 2015. It will most likely raise the streak to twelve this July.
