Charlie Hebdo published a characteristically offensive cartoon depicting >drowning victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston as being neo-Nazis, with the banner that declared “God Exists”.

The cover of their latest issue led to a virtually unanimous tidal wave of condemnation of Charlie Hebdo, including from many quarters that, just two years ago, were sanctifying the same magazine for its identical mockery of Muslims.

And, of course, who remembers the famous #JeSuisCharlie hashtag that went viral?

Here is how social media reacted to the latest cover of Charlie Hebdo:

Piers Morgan in January 2015, with a tweet that was re-tweeted by almost 24,000 people:

Here, the same Piers Morgan just a few days ago... #hypocrisy anyone?

"Truly low, uneducated, shameful, useless..."

Some even called the magazine traitors....

"This is disgusting..."

"Why would Americans help out Paris after this?", a user replies to Fox News

A Muslim had this to say:

Some thought it was justified...

Whilst others pointed out the blatant double standards...
