Yet another Western celebrity has >fallen in love with the United Arab Emirates, and this time, it is American-Cuban singer and songwriter Camila Cabello.

The singer of the hit song "Havana" performed at Dubai's RedFest DXB 2019 music festival over the weekend and made sure to visit the country's touristic gems during her stay.

Cabello had an especially great time at the Arabian Desert, which she described in a heartfelt Instagram post as "one of the most gorgeous experiences I've ever had."

It's safe to say the desert surpassed her expectations

Cabello took to Instagram to share photos of her visit to the desert, along with lengthy captions describing her experience.

In one post, she wrote that she had never expected to "see a place like this," urging travelers to forgo mundane trips to resorts and invest in visits to unique destinations like the Arabian Desert.

"It changes your life and mind in every way possible and is one of (and arguably the most) the greatest, most humbling adventures of living," she wrote.

In another post, the singer explained how prior to her visit, she had perceived the desert as "something mystical and almost not real, something I saw in movies but my brain didn't register as a real place, almost like when you see insane places that look like paintings on planet Earth."

The desert certainly did not disappoint.

Cabello wandered through the dunes, stayed there overnight, and woke up to birds chirping at 4 a.m., away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

She wrote, "[I] saw stars like I've never seen in my life," adding that the experience "made everything feel so simple and uncomplicated."

Cabello was not only pleasantly surprised with the beauty of the UAE, but also with the number of fans she turned out to have in the region.

"I've got so much love to my fans from the Middle East. I didn't realize there were so many of you out there," she tweeted following her performance at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater last Friday.

As per the touristic norm, she also rocked a hijab at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The singer paid a visit to Abu Dhabi's >Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the UAE, and shared photos of herself at the mosque while donning a hijab, which is required from female visitors.

In the post, she wrote about "being humbled by traveling to another place and experiencing a completely different culture." She added that she wore the headscarf "to be respectful when visiting this mosque."

Celebrities have plenty of love for the UAE

Western celebrities >regularly express their love for the country, and particularly the emirate of Dubai.
