The Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov was shot dead yesterday during a speech at the opening of an art exhibition in Ankara.
The shooter, who has been identified by Turkish officials as a 22-year-old police officer, shouted "Don't forget Aleppo, don't forget Syria!" in Turkish as he pulled the trigger.
He fired at least eight shots, according to >The Guardian, injuring at least three other people during the horrific attack.
The 22-year-old shooter was killed by other officers in a shootout.
