Kevin Spacey has been under fire the past few hours after actor Anthony Rapp publicly revealed he was sexually assaulted by Spacey in 1986.
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Rapp shared the details of the assault, saying it took place one night after Spacey invited Rapp to his apartment for a party.
That night, Spacey "placed him [Rapp] on his bed, climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance," the BuzzFeed report says.
Rapp was 14-years-old at the time of the incident, Spacey was 26.
Spacey's representatives did not respond to the allegations. Instead, Spacey issued a statement posted to his Twitter account, saying he does not remember the assault.
"But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior," Spacey wrote.
Instead, to deflect from the original story, Spacey publicly came out as gay.
Rapp came forward following the millions who have shared their stories of sexual assault
"My stomach churns," Rapp said when talking about how he feels upon seeing Spacey today.
"I still to this day can't wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It's just deeply confusing to me."
Following the news, hundreds of people expressed outrage, including people from across the entire Arab region.
