Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, is coming to Beirut!
The Woz, as he is endearingly nicknamed, is set to speak at the Banque du Liban Accelerate 2016 .
Wozniak will be speaking live at the event on Nov. 3, 4 and 5. You can get a chance to see him in person by registering today.
The conference will take place at Forum De Beyrouth.
Wozniak is credited with launching the personal computer industry.
Wozniak and Jobs met in 1971 and both worked together at Hewlett-Packard. Initially, the two men were just trying to impress friends in a local computer club with their inventiveness. But in 1976, Wozniak developed the Apple 1 and the rest became history... and the iMac, the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad, etc.
Wozniak's relationship warmed and cooled with Jobs over the years but the two are believed to have remained friends until Job's death in 2011. Apple also maintains Wozniak as an employee. He is also a shareholder in the company.
BDL Accelerate 2016’s theme is innovation...
"When you think innovation, you think Apple, as few companies have had a more profound and lasting effect on the 21st century" the accelerator said in a press release.
Mike Butcher of TechCrunch will also be a guest speaker.
