Taylor Swift dropped a music video for her song Lover last week, effortlessly amassing 28 million views at the time of writing. In the clip, Swift makes several outfit changes, each resembling one of her seven previously released studio albums.
In one scene, Swift is donning an all-pink attire matched with a special set of earrings designed by Emirati jewelry brand Ruwaya. The UAE brand was founded by Fatima Al-Dhaheri in 2015 and has since gone global.
Apart from the 18K Rose Gold "Nayra earrings," Swift also accessorized her look using a gold bangle with pink diamonds from Misahara Jewelry and AC Cocktail Rings by Anabela Chan.
International superstars are donning Ruwaya's design
Al-Dhaheri's brand and vision draw inspiration from the designers' Arab background. She often makes use of the region's culture and traditions in her designs.
The celebrated Khaleeji jeweler started her career working for her father at the family's popular fine jewelry brand Amwaj before launching off on her own.
While gaining experience at the family business, she started designing jewelry pieces for friends and relatives and then decided to study her craft at the Gemological Institute of America.
Back in April, Barbadian singer Rihanna was spotted wearing Ruwaya's snake bracelet for her Savage X Fenty Spring campaign.
Other celebrities who have championed the regional brand include Tiffany Haddish, Jenna Dewan, Ariana Grande, and Joey King.
Arab and UAE stars have also been seen donning Ruwaya's designs including Emirati singer Ahlam and social media celebrity Taim Al Falasi.
