Mohamad Walid's victory in his latest ONE FC match grabbed investor Abdeljalil Al-Fahim's attention. The young, UAE-based Syrian mixed-martial-arts fighter, who stands undefeated, will be sponsored by Said & Bros, as the investing company, branching out from real estate, shipping, hotels, and automotive, is making an effort to encourage local and international talents in the country to excel in their fields.
Fahim said that anyone with competitive skills could be sponsored, stressing that "no matter where they're from, as long as they were raised and grown [sic] in the UAE, they are part of us, so we should help them out."
With previous experience in sponsoring several show-jumping competitors, Fahim told Fighting Lifestyle UAE that he felt confident that MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu could be an arena in which UAE champions can dominate.
