Cats are wonderful creatures sent to us mortals from the gods above, and anyone who owns a cat knows, cats are well-aware of this fact. There are certain things no one can really understand as well as a cat owner, and no one will appreciate the pain they go through. Here are just a few of the many struggles a cat owner goes through with their pet.
1. Your cat is the love of your life
It's always there for you and it loves you at your worst (probably because you feed her but you'll take what you can get).
2. You'd rather spend money on cat stuff than on yourself
Who's going to look cuter in a new winter sweater, you or your cat? Cats have so much cute stuff you can get them you'll find yourself spending most, if not all, of your money on them instead than on yourself, but you honestly don't mind.
3. Your furniture is a sacrifice you're willing to make
Yes, your cat has scratched your couch beyond repair, no, you don't mind.
4. Food must be eaten quickly or it won't be eaten at all
You only realize the true strength of your cat when you're trying to eat and it won't let you. Ten times out of ten you just give up and give it your food...
5. All your clothes are covered in fur, but you make it work
"Hey, you have something on your ..." "I know."
6. Mixed signals aren't exclusive to humans
DO YOU WANT ME TO PET YOU OR DO YOU WANT TO BITE MY HAND? MAKE UP YOUR MIND.
7. Leaving the house is really really hard
If you have a cat at home, chances are you're so much more likely to miss out on plans because, well, you have a cat at home. They're so cute, why would you ever leave?
8. You fight the urge to get more cats every day
After getting your first cat, you will want more and more, but if you don't want to have everything you love scratched or broken, you must resist these urges.
9. Cuddling with your cat is impossible
Cartoons and movies have given us a distorted idea of what sleeping next to a cat is really like. You will try again and again to put them next to you, they'll run away, but somehow, you'll wake up with your cat clawing at your face.
