While North Korea and the United States have been at odds for decades, the tensions appear to be seriously heating up in the past couple of weeks.
U.S. President Donald Trump, never one to take a break from saying or Tweeting everything and anything that enters his head, has directed some extremely fiery rhetoric toward the Asian country in the past few days.
Trump threatened to unleash "fire and fury like the world has never seen" on North Korea. He went on to double-down on the comments after criticism, saying "maybe it wasn't tough enough."
These comments, accompanied by North Korea's continued missile tests, have led many politicians, journalists, and experts to raise serious concerns that nuclear war could actually break out.
Arab commentators on Twitter definitely had a few thoughts to share as well.
1. Some are making comparisons to previous presidents
2. Old Trump tweets seem just a bit ironic now
3. Some think this is definitely more serious than before
4. And some are raising MAJOR concerns
5. Oh the irony of Christian leaders supporting Trump's wrath!
6. There's some confusion going on
7. What happened to the "taboo" of killing civilians?
8. But maybe it's all just "saber rattling"
Inshallah.
