Parents are way cooler than we give them credit for. There is no denying, however, that to them everything Internet-related is referred to as Google and all emails are still Hotmail. That does not mean that they are not tech savvy. With an increased obsession with technology, the new generation of apps is literally for everyone.

This is a list of our favorite apps for parents and soon-to-be parents.

Great for parents of infants and toddlers, this application will allow you to keep track of baby essentials that are at times insanely confusing. With Glow Baby, parents can now log all information related to feeding, changing, sleeping, essential developmental milestones and medication timings. No need for those post-its anymore!

The transition from pregnancy to the first year of life with Baby Center is absolutely genius. “My Pregnancy” will allow you to track week-by-week developments of your unborn child by simply plugging in your expected due date. Expect weekly updates, videos, pictures and access to discussion forums with other expectant mothers.

Once your child is born, Baby Center's “Baby Today” will guide you through the first year of your little one’s life. Developmental milestones, routine vaccination schedules, sleep routines; daily calendars and baby health and safety are just a few of the features to expect.

After your child has hit the 12 month mark – you are on your own!

Calling to check up on your children can be irritating. And asking your kids to call you? Yeah, well we can assume that is not going to happen. With 99 Check, your children (who we all know are obsessed with selfies) can now share their selfie with you on demand. Once the selfie is shared, parents can see the location where it was checked-in. With just a selfie, parents and children are at ease. Sent in real time, this app allows parents to constantly know where their children are without needing to be too overbearing.

Needing to constantly be the bad cop by asking your children to spend quality time with the family, give their studies a bit more attention, put the iPad aside during dinner time and simply just come back to earth is beyond exhausting. Our Pact is a parental-control application that does practically all the above for you. By scheduling screening time, limiting what applications and websites can be accessed and managing the desired device remotely through Wi-Fi, you can rest assured that your children are basically children once again.
