If you grew up abroad before moving back to Lebanon or are an expat who has been living in the country for several years, you can probably relate.

1. Of course that power is a 24/7 thing

Only three hour cuts at your place? Congrats!

2. And that water is unlimited

Don't worry, more might come tomorrow.

3. That waste just gets managed and you never think about it

Wait, that still hasn't been fixed?

4. Or that line markings on the road are universally understood

Question: Why do they even repaint them every year?

5. And the same goes for traffic signals

I mean, sometimes nobody else is at the intersection.

6. That standing in line is always normal

Check-out counters are competitions, not organized events.

7. And dog poop is normally picked up, not left in the middle of the sidewalk

But, people don't use sidewalks in Lebanon. So it's fine.

8. That it's not physically possible to go to happy hour every day

Oh it is. Really, it is.

9. Or the fact that cigarettes are bad for your health

Just don't mention it.

10. And that you can't eat the same food every day without getting sick of it

Did anyone say hummus ? Yes please!

11. Not going to the gym is totally acceptable

Which gym do you go to? Oh you don't go? Oh ...

12. And that its okay to leave your house not looking your best sometimes

Lebanese girls be like … "I'm going to the grocery store."

13. Or that you'd be perfectly happy to live anywhere in the world

Because despite the chaos, you can't quite imagine loving anywhere else this much.
