You know how nowadays, whenever you listen to a Miley Cyrus or Nicki Minaj song you say something like "Back then, we had better music. It wasn't as crazy as today's music."

Truth is, most of us growing up in the 90s and 00s were probably a bit young and didn't fully understand the words to the songs we were listening to. We just liked that they had a great beat. Most of the sexual innuendoes and drug references may have flown over our heads, but it certainly didn't fly over our Arab parents' heads.

This explains why they banned us from listening to or watching the music videos for these 12 songs.
