10 ways the ancient Egyptians improve our daily existence

The ancient Egyptians tried hard to be immortal and, in a lot of ways, they pulled it off. The next time you use any of these 10 items (we predict, or hope, that will be today), remember who to thank.

Plot twist: they were not used for sex--at least we're not sure they were.

According to How Africa, ancient drawings show Egyptian men proudly sporting condoms, often made of animal skin. But historians couldn't determine whether condoms were used for intercourse or just as ceremonial accessories--yes, you read that right.
