People of Riyadh, rejoice!

Getting your Al Baik fix is about to become a whole lot easier, as the Saudi fast food chain is set to open several branches in the city.

With existing branches in Madinah, Makkah and Jeddah already serving the masses, the famous food chain has announced plans to open seven new outlets in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

7 new branches!

Known for its affordable yet delicious fried chicken meals, Al Baik opened its first branch in Jeddah in 1974. It quickly became a household name in the kingdom.

This August, the food chain announced that it is opening up a new branch 20 kilometres away from the city of Riyadh.

At the time, while clearly excited, residents of the Saudi capital could not help but wonder why the restaurant has not yet launched inside the city.

Now, Al Baik has gone the extra mile with plans of opening up not only one but seven new branches in Riyadh.

According to Arab News, Al Baik Food Systems Company has signed a partnership agreement with Peace Stars Holding Company that determines the lands to be used for the new locations.

In a tweet, Al Baik's official Twitter account announced that the new outlets will be located in areas that include Al-Andalus, Al-Rayan, Western Al-Naseem, Al-Fayhaa, Al-Suwaidi and Al-Aziziyah.

People of Riyadh were beyond excited about the news, here is a round-up of their reactions on social media:

"Alhamdulillah" ... the excitement is REAL

DAY=MADE

Time to kiss Western food chains goodbye!

Why Al Baik?

Meanwhile, non-Saudi residents are dying for some of that Al Baik goodness
