Khaled Aboul Naga, famed Egyptian actor and humanitarian, has set his eyes on the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestine for his latest project, "Eyes of a Thief."

Since the beginning of the Israeli occupation of Palestine in 1948, the film industry has created countless movies addressing the issue of the Jewish State's occupation.

Many of these films, however, seem to be stuck in time – like a never ending cycle that neglected to include the current struggle of Palestinians.

Abol Naga's film on the other hand, proved to be the exact opposite the worn out story line. "Eyes of the Thief" is set in 2002 when a notorious incident occurred that led the Israeli forces to build the West Bank separation barrier.

Najwa Najiir, the film's director, aimed to highlight the brutality of the occupation. From sieges, assassinations, illegal detention and the robbing of basic human rights of Palestinians, the film showcases the struggles of the everyday life in the occupied territories.

In this film, Abol Naga plays the role of Tarek, a father looking for his long-lost daughter after spending 10 years in prison.

Malak Ermileh, who played the role of Abol Naga's daughter, captured the hearts of the viewers with her innocence and her natural ability to portray the heartache of Palestinian children.

"Eyes of the Thief" was a ground breaking success within the film industry and the Arab world; it is currently played at Egypt's Zawya .
