A Saudi computer science student Mashael Al Zaid recently posted a video to Twitter, directed at Elm – a company that develops secure e-services – requesting an internship opportunity.
The video ultimately went viral, garnering over 2,000 re-tweets, and landing Zaid not just one internship, but quite a few following her creative proposal.
"I'm into tech, innovation and entrepreneurship," Zaid states in the video. It looks like she caught the attention of all the right companies.
"Be part of my university journey and say YES," Zaid captioned the video
According to the video, Zaid previously participated in international and local coding and leadership programs.
"Elm was one of the first companies to come to my mind when I wanted to apply for training because innovation is one of its greatest values,“ Zaid told our sister publication, YallaFeed.
Zaid also said she wants to make her parents and family proud. She said that her mother was her first supporter. Her mother has always pushed her to innovate and has always encouraged her to succeed.
Now, it looks like different companies in Saudi Arabia are competing to have Zaid join their team.
Telecom operator ZAIN reached out, offering her an internship opportunity!
"We have a place for you" ... Glowork, a women's recruitment & empowerment platform, told her!
Tamkeen Technologies joined the competition, because everyone wants Zaid on their team!
"Tamkeen Technologies invites you to our training program. We are always looking for creative people just like you."
